Equipment Information

Aperto® provides a complete PacketWave or PacketMax® network, which will be used for the installation exercises. The student will install and commission all of the equipment during the hands on section of the installation course.

Aperto provides network management workstations for the hands on element of the courses. The student may bring their own notebook or laptop PCs to operate the system. The NMS software will be loaded on the student PC from CD-ROM.

Minimum PC Requirements:

• P5 / P6 based PC, 300 MHz or higher (500 MHz Recommended)
• Windows 95 / 98, NT (Ver.4.0) or 2000
• 128 Mb of RAM (256 Mb Recommended)
• 100 Mb of free hard disk space
• Java Runtime Environment Installed (JRE 1.3)
• CD ROM, LAN, serial port and modem interfaces
