Senior RF Engineer

Position Description

Hands-on design and development engineer with proven design experience in High Frequency radio architectures for Base Station Radio platforms used in 802.16 WiMAX systems. The candidate must be familiar with the radio design analysis, trade-offs and frequency planning for SDR architecture. Design experience in the direct conversion architecture using highly integrated chipsets and Power amplifier design experience with digital pre-distortion (DPD) is a must. Knowledge and design experience in CFR (crest factor reduction) of multi-carrier systems at Base band is a strong plus. Proven track record of successful design transition to high volume production is strongly required.

Position Requirements

Minimum of 5-7 yrs of design experience in the areas of TDD/HFDD radios with mixed signal digital Up and Down converters, LNA, Hi Power amplifier design and Synthesizer designs. System level familiarity with QAM and OFDM modulations and knowledge of IEEE802.16 protocols desirable. Familiarity with EDA tools such as View Logic schematic capture, Cadence layout tools a strong plus. Familiarity with test equipment including BER/CNR test sets, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers and VSA in evaluation of conversion architectures and components very important. Candidate should be willing to work in a small design team and be self-motivated in accepting varying roles to support test/design verification of new and existing designs. BS or MS in RF circuit design and communications.
