Project Manager

Position Description
Project manager will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of hardware, software, RF, and mechanical engineers to develop the next generation of mobile WiMAX base-station and subscriber station products. You will interact with other organizations within Aperto including Product Marketing, Operation, Sales and Customer Support. You will also interact with external resources including vendors, consultants, and partners. Your responsibilities are to:
- Lead planning and/or implementation of projects. May participate in the design and/or testing phases.
- Facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
- Follow a defined, agreed upon project management methodology.
- Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management role, experience successfully managing product development projects of telecommunication products.
- Minimum of 5 years of product development as a hardware or software engineer.
- Good understanding of software development cycle as well as hardware development cycle
- Experience with WiMAX or wireless product development is a plus.
- BSCS or BSEE required
